There is no need to hesitate if you are considering purchasing a shepherd’s hut from Shropshire Shepherd Huts! We did a lot of research before we decided to go with Chrissie and Tony and ironically what put us off initially was the price as Shropshire Shepherd Huts’ prices are so reasonable when put alongside their competitors. And you know the adage: if it is too good to be true it probably is… But in this case, it isn’t.

We were invited to see the huts being made for ourselves at the workshop and our fears were laid aside: not just by the huts themselves in their various stages of completion but by Tony himself and his carpenter Andrew: old fashioned approaches and values in abundance.

Chrissie takes care of the design side of things, professional and unflustered no matter how many times we changed our mind on the layout or contents – and we did! We also had to postpone our build and delivery slot twice and this was also met with understanding and simply without fuss, new time slots were given.

Now our hut is in place, and we are thrilled by her; somehow your own hut is the best and unique despite all the other huts you have witnessed at the workshop along the way! She is cosy and homely and there is nothing in her yet! We would also recommend the underfloor heating- simple no fuss, clean and very warm if you wish it to be!

To sum up: lovely huts, fairly priced in a market where rogues can take advantage; excellent customer service and a pleasant, stress-free experience from beginning to end.

We have nothing but praise for both the quality of the product and the customer service we received.

The shepherd hut we bought is extremely well crafted. We were able to visit the workshop to see how the huts are built and the design options available. Photos documenting the work as it progressed were also available on request.

For us one of the biggest selling points was the comprehensive way these huts are insulated from top to bottom: walls, floors, ceilings and windows. The option of underfloor heating was a very attractive option for us as well as a shower room and space for a toilet. The option for a double bed with compact wardrobe and ample storage meant that it offered a very practical addition to our living space to accommodate extra visitors.

Both Chrissie and Tony were readily available to answer questions and allay any concerns during the purchasing and building phases. They are very prompt in responding and patient with ongoing enquiries. They understand that for most people it is a new experience and so they are always there to explain things in full.

We would also like to praise the delivery service used by this company who were nothing short of miracle workers in positioning our hut and in coping with tricky access problems. They deserve to take real pride in their skill.

I would strongly recommend buying a shepherd’s hut from this company. Its such a useful addition to your property and you would undoubtedly receive a superbly crafted product tailored to meet your specific needs. A very professional and friendly service.

It was delivered safely by Stuart last Saturday, who did a fantastic job installing & levelling it into position.

The hut looks fabulous in my garden and has fitted in seamlessly. The addition of the shower & toilet makes it even more versatile. The kitchen area will support my plan as using it as my ‘new’ home office & keep me supplied in coffee.

The stable door means I can get extra light and can have a fabulous view of my beautiful garden & willow tree.

We are absolutely thrilled with our Shepherd’s Hut, a dream come true. We started using in it on day one and love it. Tony made it exactly to our specifications and Chrissie was patient and helpful throughout, with all our queries. Not forgetting Stuart, (and helpers!) who did a fantastic job of delivery and installation.
The hut looks fabulous in our garden and has fitted in seamlessly. The addition of the bathroom makes it even more versatile and the kitchen area, with it’s under counter fridge and handy freezer compartment, is in daily use. The king size bed is really comfortable with plenty of room for the dogs as well! We opted for dimmer switches and this gives that extra bit of ambience at night. The stable door means we can get an extra bit of air and view of the garden, but still be snug.

Where to begin ……

Our decision to have a shepherds hut down the bottom of our garden is definitely the best we have ever made. When we visited the workshop to see Tony and the work that he does, we didn’t hesitate in ordering ours even though the waiting list was quite long but I must say our patience has paid off. Tony and the boys assembled it on site and completed it all on the same day , including fitting the wonderful little woodburning stove !!!!!!!!!  Right from the day of placing our order, the communication has been outstanding and the end result is even better than we could have ever dreamt of !!!!  We now have our own little holiday home down our garden and we find ourselves spending more time in there than we do our house ….. We were invited to go and see some huts that Tony was in the process of building, this was great! We are absolutely delighted with our hut.  It’s lovely quality and an amazing space. We wanted a flexible space as an extra bedroom when needed but mainly as a hide away summer house for us.  We could not be more pleased actually.  It sits at the end of our garden and looks like its been there forever.  Ours was built on site which was no problem at all. Having Tony and Andrew assembling it here was lovely and we saw it progress very quickly and was watertight after half a day and then a day and half to complete it.  No mess at all.  I recommend the underfloor heating which is cosy and efficient, and I love the kitchen unit.

 Chrissie was helpful and supportive and we had good communication throughout. She coped with me changing my mind about the interior layout so many times.  I would highly recommend these huts and think they are excellent quality and very good value for money.

Tony & Chrissie, the couple behind Shropshire Shepherd ‘s Huts have been absolutely wonderful. We are absolutely delighted with the hut, and the standard of workmanship. Tony’ your advice on planning the hut was invaluable, you were open to all our ideas, and had some great ones of your own to share. The result is exactly what we had hoped for. Our older grandchildren are also delighted with it, as they think it is a place to play. The truth of it is that it’s a haven for the Grandparents to retreat to for a quiet night’s sleep. We had our first night in the hut in March, in the snow, and were snug and comfortable.

We had photo updates regularly and no matter how many times I called they were always so helpful. We are now loving our new hut. It was originally brought as a office but the grandchildren have now taken over and want all their friends to stop.

We had been looking for a Shepherds Hut for a while. The lower priced ones weren’t generally up to standard and more expensive ones were a little out of our reach and not always of a superior standard anyway.

When we saw your ad we were cautious. But after seeing, and being impressed by, the quality of one you had already made, we placed an order. We are so pleased with the hut. Tony,Tom and Chrissie are easy to talk to and don’t mind changing things even at the last minute.

We watched the hut being built from scratch so we know how well built it is. We’ve seen the proper insulation and waterproof membranes being fitted. We are still using it even now the weather has changed and it is still perfect. The workmanship was excellent and the guys tidied up as they went along. We fully recommend Shropshire Shepherds Huts & Pods as the go to people.
